Do any face, hair or body products contain anything that has bleach or would bleach a towl?

I recently just got new towls, and there pink with white designs.

I have not washed them, i just went straight to using them

and something has bleached them.

My washcloth, hand towl and regular towl.

I have not used any bleach or anything on them that would bleach them, so i have no idea how they got bleached.

i know they have been bleached because i compared them to the ones i have not used yet....

Yes! Many acne preparations or other medicated preparations can bleach towels, especially benzoyl peroxide. In fact, anything that has the word "peroxide" on it can bleach, including tooth whitening products, though it would have been hard to bleach everything from just that! Anything that lightens your skin or your hair will lighten towels. That could be things like hair bleach, highlighters, Sun-In, etc, or skin lightening things like Porcelana. Hair straighteners and permanent wave lotion can bleach. Also, I ruined a shirt by cleaning the counter with Clorox disinfecting cleaner. It has bleach in it and the spray can land any where.

Yes. I ruined some sheets and a new shirt before I figured this out, years ago.

Any acne or oily skin product containing benzoil peroxide (however that's spelled) can bleach fabric, especially natural fibers like cotton or linen.

If you use such products, that's the culprit.

I always wash my towels before using them, as well as sheets, clothing, etc. It is advised to wash before using them or wearing them, because of the chemicals used in the material, besides, you don't know who has touched them. I don't know of any face, hair, or body products that contain bleach %26amp; would bleach your new towels. If they had bleach on them, there would be white blotches on them, just as there would be if you used Clorox.

They are TOWELS, spell it correctly. Didn't you wash them before using them the first time? That's just fading from the first wash. And buy better towels. We only buy hotel quality Egyptian combed cotton towels, costly but worth it in the long run.
