I have a friend who keeps talking about Jeffery Star or whatever, and I think he looks gay cus of his pink hair and stuff...and she says he's just transexual..I've kinda always wondered what it meant?

Jeffree Star IS gay; he's also a transvestite (or crossdresser, if you prefer). He is NOT transsexual.

Transexual is someone that believes he/she was born 'into the wrong body'- meaning that he believes he should be a female or she believes she should be a male.

There's a difference between being a transexual and being a transvestite (sp). Transvestite is when you want to dress up in the opposite sex's clothing and pretend(for the lack of better words) to be the other gender. A transexual is someone who believes that he/she should physically be the other gender FOREVER. Not just one night, or a week, but for a very long time.

The words your friend should have used to describe Jeffery Star would be Transvestite, not Transexual.
